TRACK

First off, I just got to shout to the world that Morgabug made cheer!! I am so proud of you Morgan!! You worked so hard, and you totally deserve this!! Way to go! :)

Second, we had our first track meet of the season on Thursday! I'm somewhat happy and somewhat very disappointed about my results! I feel like I could have done so much better!! But, I tied for either third or second in high jump, did okay on the 200 meter, medley team came in 3rd, and I took 5th out of like 38 girls in the 400 meter!! That race almost killed me!!

Here are some pictures from the district meet last year, and my amazing medley team. We took third out of the whole district, and I was pretty pleased!! :) This was also the race that I got tripped and scared up my knees and elbows!

Makenna Rogers, Nicole Lindsay, and Anna Clark!! I miss them all!

Easter Rainboots

My grandma gave these boots to me for Easter! I haven't worn them yet, but Saturday was such a nice day, and I just really wanted to try them out! So my sister and I did just that!

The first one is my favorite! I love my Leah Bug!

Well, life is insane. I'm back to my normal roller coaster ride. But hey, at least I'm doing okay on the whole "duck" thing!! Still not perfect. But hey, it sure makes life a lot better!

My new favorite show! It's incredible! And totally the kind of thing I LOVE! It's brilliant, really and truly. These camera people, they got some serious skill! I've recorded every episode so far, and watched them all at least twice. Nerdy. But it is so cool!!

I can't decide which picture is cooler. I'm thinking the first one, yes? Eh. I don't know!!

October Sky

I watched this movie last night, and I loved it! I've seen it before, but it was so much better the second time around. I love true stories, and this one was no exception! If you haven't seen it before, you should! (Plus the main character was pretty darn cute!)

How to Train Your Husky (I wish)

First off, I desperately want a Husky puppy. True, I already have MuShu my pug. But I love huskys. They very well may be some of the most gorgeous dogs ever. Possibly the MOST gorgeous. Especially when they have vibrant blue eyes. I went to the pet store with my family yesterday, and they had a Husky puppy!! I truly almost died. They are just too cute to handle!! I want one, so much! So when I get out into my own house, I'm buying me a Husky. Haven't decided on the name yet, but it will be a good one.

How can you not fall in love with this guy? Gorgeous.

Also, I had a sleepover with my OTHER cousin on Monday night. He lives in California, and I don't get to see him very often, so it was fun to get to spend the whole day with him yesterday. We stayed up super late watching one of my favorite TV shows. And then just had a grand time all day yesterday! We went to go see "How to Train Your Dragon" (NOT in 3D!) and it was really really cute! I actually liked it!! It was a fun show, and good for my whole family. Everyone really liked it, including my mom and my three year old sister, except for the part where the master dragon comes to eat them or whatever. Haha she did get a little scared then! But it was good! And fun to be with the family.

Then we came home and just goofed off. I almost killed myself!! One of the scariest moments ever! WOW. But I am alive, no worries :) And then we played Rockband!! On my new flippin amazing television. The best part was when we went on the hardest (labeled "Impossible") song, and all went on expert. Oh my lanz it was hilarious!! We were all laughing hysterically and sweating, who knew that Rockband could be such a workout!! It was a great day!! And then last night, I stayed up late watching my OTHER favorite TV show! Hah. Oh, how I love spring break!

QUACK

What a fun night! My fabulous cousin Eliza came to spend the night at my house last night. It was such fun! She had me laughing so hard I cried. I could show you the video, but it also involves my little sister flashing the camera a plumber crack. So I suppose I shouldn't. Too bad. It was funny!! Eliza, I love you!

Life is getting better! It's almost comical how much like a roller coaster my life is. Two weeks ago I was flying high. My life seemed perfect! I felt like nothing could go wrong. Of course it did, and plummeted down to about the lowest of lows. But I'm working my way back up! I've just told myself that things can happen, people can betray you and let you down, you can be stressed out up to your eyeballs, and everything can seem like it is wrong wrong wrong, but unless you let it, it doesn't have to get to your head. My dad always tells me to be a duck. Just like a duck, let the water roll off your back. Don't let it weigh you down and make it so you can't fly, or swim. Just let it roll right off. So, that is my goal! I'm going to be just like a duck, and let things roll off of my back. They won't be able to reach my head and make me sad or angry. It feels like my roller coaster is going faster and higher already! Quack quack.

Pain? I think YES

So as you all (or should I say both?) now now, I just got braces. Oh the joy. I honestly haven't hurt this bad, maybe ever! How can that be true? I don't know, but I am in so much pain it hurts to just do nothing. Advil or Tylenol or Ibuprofen or Aleeve? None of it does diddly squat! I took an Aleeve, I didn't hurt for about 30 minutes, and then alas, the pain came back! And I can't take another 8 to 12 hours! The worst part is, I can't chew. Not only does it kill to even touch my teeth, my mouth doesn't shut anymore. They put a bunch of blue glue on 2 of my teeth, called turbos, that make it so none of my teeth are able to touch. I can have them closed as far as they will go, and still stick half of my tounge out! The only chewing points in my mouth are 2 wads of glue. And I can't even chew on them, because each time brings searing pain. So, basically I am reduced to eating smoothies and tapioca pudding. I hate it: I have all this food I want to eat, like pizza, but I can't!! :( Oh well. In a year, I'll have good teeth! (But if I have to survive off of tapioca pudding for a year, I think I'll go crazy)

On a happier and less painful note, spring break has started!! I'm so excited. School has been so stressful and crazy and busy that it will be so relaxing to have a week off. It started it off with a big bang last night. Okay, not really. It started off with me getting braces! But then I went to go see the new movie Clash of the Titans with some of my AMAZING friends. We get in the theatre, my mouth is completely fine, and halfway through the film, it starts to hurt, and huuurt, and then HURT and then it is killing me!!! Oh man, it was horrible. And then the 3D made my head hurt and get dizzy, so I shut my eyes. And guess what. I fell asleep!! Haha pretty funny huh? So yeah, I missed part of the movie. But that is okay because it was so confusing, and totally 100% different from the original. Then after that, we went to the food court. I attempted to eat some rice. The poor man who had to mop!! By now my mouth is honestly getting pretty hard to handle. I don't want to complain to my friends, or seem like a wimp, but I honestly just feel like going home to lay in my bed. I was trying not to cry my mouth was in so much pain! But then we played hide-and-go-seek around gateway, calling on cell phones to give clues and such. It was an adventure! So that was fun. But still. I was in major freakin pain. Luckily my friends were nice and took care of me. Good old Cameron Pitt was totally being super sensitive and nice and such. Everybody was! I have the greatest friends!

Am I complaining a lot or what? Sorry. I can't help it. Well, General Conference started today. I love it! I have been looking forward to it for the past two months or so! The talks are so amazing and inspiring. Sometimes I feel like they are directly talking to me. I was watching it alone downstairs, so I sang along with the choir and took a TON of notes. Definitely will be referring to those bad boys. After each session, I just feel so calm, and loved, and happy. Great way to spend a Saturday! I'm very excited for tomorrow!

Well, there you have a summary of my weekend thus far. Happy spring break! I hope it just keeps getting better and better!!

Love, the girl with a stomach full of tapioca pudding.
