The Zoo!!

So I know this was forever ago. But I just barely uploaded the pictures! And It was such a fun day, I just figured I should blog about it! A week ago or so, actually I believe it was two weeks ago, we had Monday off of school! So, my dad, sisters, and I went to the zoo! It was a freezing cold day, it actually started snowing on us! But I fell in love with the baby elephant named Zuri there, and we wanted to check up on her. Sadly, she was inside because of the freezing cold. But we did have a blast and a half anyways! Here are some of my favorite pictures. We only stayed for about 45 minutes or so. It was so cold. So I didn't get very many. But here is a few anyways!



This is a crappy picture. But I loved how the momma and her cubs were so close and cute with each other!







Sorry there is so many of the tiger. And they all sort of look the same. But this guy was my favorite at the whole zoo. Just look how beautiful and majestic he is. You can see the power all over him, in his legs, his paws. Oh man. Gorgeous!



Gotta throw in the monkey! I love monkeys! :)





So these pictures are both bad quality. But my lighting was horrible anyways. This was the new baby alligator! He was like a foot long, and so cool! This picture doesn't show it. But his eyes were rocking.







and of course, the merry-go-round. This is all my little sister wanted to do! The whole time, when I wanted to see the wolves, and the tigers and everything. All she wanted was to ride this! Haha. I love her too much. As do I love Molly! They are 2 of my most favorite people!

Today in English we talked about Shakespearean insults. It was so entertaining! I have a whole new list of new mean things to say when I get mad! It's just fabulous! Not that I will. But still! For like 10 minutes our teacher let us just insult each other. And then we had an assignment to go home and insult some more! I don't know what pretty much any of them mean. haha. But still! It was hilarious. I've got a whole page of them! Here are some more:

Anyway. This is a picture I took last summer of my adorable little sister. I love that girl! More then you could know! She is amazing. My whole family is! But we have been playing games tonight! She's crazy! :)




Is she totally rocking my sunglasses or what? Anyways. Thats all I've got for tonight. I had pretty much the most amazing weekend of all time last week! When I get pictures, I'll blog!

Happy Birthday, Grandma

Today is my grandma Carol's birthday. She is my dad's mom, and even though I don't remember her very well, she is one of the most amazing ladies ever to walk this earth. She died 9 years ago from a sudden and unexpected blood clot and heart attack. I was living in Connecticut at the time. She and my grandpa had come and visited us very recently. It was the last time I ever saw her. Today my dad and I were driving in the car to West Jordan and talking about her. I had to stop talking because I was getting teary. He told me that one of the very last memories he had of his beloved and wonderful mother was of her lying in my bed with me and reading me books during that vacation. Oh grandma. I think of you often. I love and miss you so very much. You are an amazing woman whom words cannot describe. I am so looking forward to the day when we meet again. When I get to heaven, you will be one of the first hugs I give. I can guarantee you that. I love you grandma! Happy Birthday.

well, hello there!

So, I broke down and decided to start blogging. Some of my friends/cousins have blogs,and I figured I might as well make one too! Its a good way to see what's going on in people's lives. So here is a little bit of a peek into my life: the life of a moon child!

To start off, how about an introduction:

• I'm Abby Moon, and I'm a 9th grader living in Utah. I love school, for the most part. I really enjoy learning, and some of my favorite classes are geography and photography.
• I have the coolest family I could ever ask for. They are truly amazing! It's me, my parents, my little brother, and my two little sisters, and I love them all!
• I love the outdoors. Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, biking, running, boating, skiing, photography, fishing, and the list goes on! Basically, put me outside and I'm happy!
• As mentioned before, I'm in love with boating. It's pretty much the greatest. I learned how to wakeboard and slalom ski last summer, and I love it! Tubing, knee-boarding, skiing, wake boarding, even driving the boat! I love it all.
• I'm convinced that hot tamales are about the best things ever invented. I could live off of those things! Okay, not really. But they are delicious! I saw an 8 pound bag at the grocery store one time. I want it. SOOO bad. Too bad mother is concerned about the well being of my teeth! I couldn't get it. :(
• I pretty much have the most amazing friends ever. I love them all, each and every one! They are each amazing in their own, individual way, and I learn something new from them every day.
• I'm a firm believer in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm working hard to gain a strong testimony, and I am well on my way!
